WELCOME!

This coming Saturday, 27th June 2026, is our Annual Summer Fete at St James Church in the gardens from 12 noon to 4 pm.  Lots of exciting things are taking place, including a bouncy castle, Mr Collywobbles Punch & Judy Show, Tombola, food, raffle prizes, and the obligatory tea tent.  Why not come along, take part, enjoy some fabulous food and drink along the way and support the local church?!!

This coming Sunday, 28th June 2026, is the 4th Sunday after Trinity.  We are now in a church season known as “Ordinary Time”.

Ordinary Time begins with Trinity Sunday.  Trinity Sunday recalls the truth that there is one God in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

During "Ordinary Time", we might think that nothing special is happening as there aren't many major events taking place.  But it would be wrong to dismiss "Ordinary Time" as being purposeless.

"Ordinary Time" allows us to develop "holy habits" - such as taking time to pray and read the bible.  This strengthens our walk with God.  As one person wrote, "the activities of ordinary time are therefore less about special occasions and more about regular rhythms that contribute to spiritual growth".

The seasonal colour for "Ordinary Time" is green - traditionally the sign of growth, as seeds sown in the dark begin to emerge as green shoots.

We look forward to welcoming you at either of our church services this coming Sunday.
