Privacy Notices – explain how we manage your personal data
In May 2018 new data protection laws take effect, giving individuals more rights and protection about how their personal data is used by the parish. Both of our privacy notices reflect these changes, which you can find here:
• General Privacy Notice
for non-role holders, eg. church goers, suppliers
• Privacy Notice for Role Holders
for staff, church wardens, PCC, event organisers, parish volunteers, Sunday School volunteers
note – role holders may well have a dual role, so please refer to both privacy notices as necessary.

Please see our Cookies Policy about how we use cookies on our website.
Photography at church & parish events
To further the work of the parish, we may use photos from church and parish events to promote our parish community and its activities, eg. on our website.
photos & privacy
We provide an ‘opt-out of photos’ at all photographed events. We do not list names alongside photos. We do not share our parish photos with third parties.
announcements about photography
We will always announce photography at an event or service by posting notices in visible locations and ensuring that there is a briefing at the start of the event, eg. a church service, the Summer Fair, the Speaker Programme events, so that attendees are aware that photos are being taken.
I do not want to be photographed
Your privacy is important to us, so please speak to an organizer/staff member at the event. Please follow the clear instruction for ‘opt out of photos’ at a particular event (eg. by wearing a visible sticker if provided; recording your name with the organizer; sitting in the non-photo area of the event).
if you are a child under 13 years
Please ask your parents about their consent for you to be photographed.
Prayer requests & privacy
Please be mindful about sensitive personal data.
Ask permission – does the person know they are being prayed for, would they mind?
Privacy – it’s important not to make the detail of the prayer request public, eg. the nature of illness, unless specifically requested.
Thank you for your consideration.
